FAQ
CANDLES
Why are your candles unique?
• Made with a coconut-soy wax blend, premium fragrance oil, and a crackling wooden wick.
• Our ingredients are non-toxic and cruelty free making them safer for you AND the environment.
• All candles are handmade and produced in small batches, and all materials are eco-friendly.
How long can I burn my candle for?
We recommend a burn time of 3-4 hours for Jar Candles. Please refer to our Candle Care page for instructions on how to burn/care for your candle properly.
How much wax should be left over?
You may notice that your candle does not burn to the bottom surface of the jar, this is normal and intentional. About 1/4” of wax should be left in your vessel. The reason comes down to safety. Without some “buffer wax” the jar can become too hot on your surfaces.
We recommend cleaning out your jar and up-cycling your glass, or collect 5 jars and be apart of our recycling initiative The Burn and Return Program!
How do I trim my wick?
The best way to trim your wick is with a wick trimmer. If you do not have one available, before you light your candle pinch the black part of the wick, it easily removes. Your wick should be ¼” before every light.
How can I reuse the leftover wax when my candle no longer lights?
When you no longer have any wick left to burn, you will have about 1/4 of wax left in the jar. You can still reuse this wax by following "The Frozen Method."
My candle is tunnelling, what should I do?
Tunnelling in candles occurs when the candle has not reached a full melt pool (letting the wax melt to the edge of the jar) on the first light. You can take a piece of foil and put it over top of the candle to help trap more heat and allow the solid wax around the edges to melt. MAKE SURE TO POKE A HOLE IN THE TOP OF THE FOIL! Keep an eye on your candle at all times while doing this and after 1-2 hours, the wax should be melting. Be careful when removing the foil as it can be hot.
Do your candles come in any other sizes?
Currently, we only offer 9oz Jar Candles and our Tea Light Sets. We are looking into adding more sizes very soon!
Do your candles smell like coconuts?
No. Although our wax is made majorly from coconuts, all scent is removed during the refining process of the wax.

CANDLE COVERS
What are your candle covers made from?
Our candle covers are made from recycled paper, water and a blend of Canadian wildflower seeds.
How long do the candle covers last for?
They have a shelf life of two years and should be stored in a cool dry place until you are ready to plant.
Seed paper will grow a wildflower mix of:
- Bird’s Eye – Annual
- Clarkia – Annual
- Black Eyed Susan – Perennial
- Catchfly – Annual
- Snapdragon – Annual
- Sweet Alyssum – Annual
How do I plant the candle cover?
You can plant your candle cover indoors in a planting pot, or you can do it outside in soil. Your wildflower cover should be planted in a place where there is moderate to high sun exposure to ensure the sprouts receive enough vitamins to flourish.
When should I start to see sprouts?
After 7-10 days you should start to see sprouts if you planted your candle cover in a sunny spot and given a healthy drink of water.
Okay this sounds cool, but why should I plant it?
We want to encourage you to plant your candle covers to help support and stabilize our ecosystem, and a huge part of that is saving the bees! The biggest threat to the declining bee population is the loss of habitat. By planting your wildflower candle cover, you will be supporting the regrowth of habitats to bees, butterflies and other insects that are vital to our ecosystem.
When is the best time to plant the candle covers?
Between March-May is the best time to plant them!
